This sushi spot is seriously one of my favorite places ever. The owner is the sweetest person—you can tell he genuinely cares about everyone who walks in. He always greets you with a big smile and makes you feel like you’re part of the family. The sushi is next level fresh, like melt-in-your-mouth good. You can tell everything is made with so much love and attention to detail. It’s the kind of place that just makes you happy to be there. I always leave full, grateful, and already planning my next visit. Truly a hidden gem I’ll keep coming back to.

高良シェフご夫妻のおもてなしは一流で、お寿司も絶品です。ランチはシェフおまかせのにりぎ定食を1000円で提供。この旅行にもう一度来る時間があればいいのですが、次回は必ず戻ってきます！彼は、世界中からの顧客が来たすべての場所をマークした地図を持っています。

The owners are so sweet and kind. The sushi was absolutely delicious. As someone who doesn't like to eat sashimi, like at all, I surprisingly enjoyed every single one. Changed my life. I never ate eel, but I gave this one a try and highly recommend coming here for this life changing moment as I have.

Super friendly owner, found this place by chance and it’s super affordable, fresh and yummy! My partner enjoyed it so much!

Even made an egg sushi for free (after checking with me that I don’t eat raw seafood). Very good experience~

맛있지만 기다릴 정도 아니고, 주변에 볼 거 많으니 투어로 방문해서 시간이 제한적이신 분들은 꼭 여기가 아니어도 됩니다..! 그치만 사장님 한국어, 영어 등 다 너무 잘 하시고 친절하시고 에너지넘치셔요!!

I don’t normally write reviews. But this place is special, and sadly there aren’t many more like it left in the world.

If you visit Kyoto. You simply have to come here. It was one of the most memorable experiences eating a place that I’ve ever had.

The owners are so kind and welcoming. I felt like I’d stepped into their home.

I feel so lucky to have eaten here. What an authentic experience.

It feels like nothing has changed since they opened the place in the 70s and I just absolutely love that.
